Course description

A rock band is on tour and is scheduled to perform in 9 different sports stadiums. Customers at a music store receive a free DVD during a special summer sale. Humanitarian aid is sent abroad after a natural disaster. All these activities demand a good logistics manager who has to know the way around the globe. Our Logistics students are up for the challenge!

The Logistics Management underprogramme programme at HAN University of Applied Sciences is taught entirely in English and concentrates on logistics. Logistics Management graduates can spot and identify problems in the production and distribution of goods and services  and can find satisfying solutions based on a thorough analysis of alternatives. They can become specialists in many fields, such as purchasing, production, marketing, automation, and cost control. In addition to paying ample attention to these subjects, the course concentrates on internationalisation.

During the 1st semester of the 3rd year, students will do a work placement, which will give them the chance to work within a multinational company such as Philips, Bosch, Adidas, Nike, Lufthansa, BMW or DHL.

In the 2nd semester of this 3rd year, students will expand their knowledge by studying abroad for a semester.

The final step of the course is embarked on during the 2nd semester of the 4th year, which is a thesis based on desk and field research.
