Course description

The Finance and Control undergraduate programme at HAN University of Applied Sciences trains students for higher managerial positions in both the private and public sectors in the area of business economics.

The business economist concentrates on the supply of reliable financial and economic information and advice for the purpose of management decisions and the control of business processes. Students will learn to analyse data and to take part in the decision making of investments, to set up and control systems that monitor business operations, to report the current financial situation of a company.

Practical approach

During the 1st semester of the 3rd year, students will do a work placement, which will give them the chance to work within a multinational company.

In the 2nd semester of this 3rd year, students will expand their knowledge by studying abroad for a semester.

The final step of the course is embarked on during the 2nd semester of the 4th year, which is a graduation assignment within a multinational company. Philips, AkzoNobel, General Electric, KPMG, KLM, Mitsubishi and Rabobank are just some of the companies in our portfolio.
